Bidhuri demands Delhi govt to provide electricity at domestic rate to small businesses

New Delhi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ramesh Bidhuri has demanded Delhi government to provide electricity at domestic rates to those doing small business in homes in Delhi.



Raising this issue during Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha on Thursday, Bidhuri said that during the Covid period many people faced an employment crisis. In such a situation, many poor people started making their living in some way by doing small business from their homes. Electricity companies collecting bills from them at commercial rates is unfair.



Raising the issue of every year floods in many parts of Bihar, BJP MP Rama Devi said that the government should make a policy regarding water management and dams after talking to the government of Nepal.



During Zero Hour, Congress MP Karti Chidambaram said that a task force should be formed to prevent death of elephants on railway tracks between Tamil Nadu and Kerala.



BJP member Jagdambika Pal said that some discount should be given to the farmers of Uttar Pradesh in regards to the price of urea and other fertilizers.



NCP's Supriya Sule said the central government should take necessary steps to check inflation and clear the Goods and Services Tax (GST) dues of the states.



Jyotsna Mahant of Congress demanded to increase the admission quota of MPs in Kendriya Vidyalayas from 10 to 50, which was supported by many members.
