Shimla: Anand Sharma, a member of the steering committee of the All India Congress Committee and former Union Minister, has asked the Prime Minister, Home Minister, and other central leaders to give an account of their eight years to the public instead of demanding accounts from the Congress. He said that today the BJP should answer on 16 crore jobs to be given in eight years. He also asked the BJP leaders why they had kept silent about the inflation. He was addressing a press conference here today.
Anand Sharma addressed the top leadership of the BJP on unemployment and inflation. He said that today's unemployment rate is the highest since independence. He said that BJP leaders do not say anything about it, and on the contrary, they go around demanding answers from the Congress. He said that the Congress is giving its account, but why does the BJP not give its account? He said that today, unemployment in the country is at an alarming level, and it is a very serious matter. He said that 64 percent of the youth in the country are of this generation, and 22 percent of the youth are unemployed. He also attacked the BJP over the vacant posts in government departments at the Center and in Himachal and asked why the vacant posts were not being filled. He said that the BJP repeatedly talks about a double engine, but it used to run fine on a single engine in the state.
Senior Congress leader Anand Sharma, while putting the Center in the dock regarding the Agniveer scheme, said that the country will have to bear the brunt of this scheme. He said that there is no social security for the soldiers retiring from this scheme, and this is the saddest thing. He said that only 25 percent will be regulars in the army after 4 years, and the rest has been talked about going to the corporate sector, but will the corporate sector take them? He said that 50 percent of the recruitments that are taking place will have to be regularized. At the same time, it is also the responsibility of the government to take care of everyone's social security.
Anand Sharma questioned the national government about why prices were not falling. He said that due to inflation, every section of society is troubled, and the budgets of all the families have been spoiled. He asked when inflation would come under control. He said that today inequality has increased in the country, and one percent of the country's rich have 21.7 percent of the capital. He said that after the UPA government left office, the prices of petrol, diesel, and cooking gas in the country have continuously increased, and the value of the dollar is increasing continuously against the rupee. He said that the central leadership should shed light on this. Questioning the silence of the BJP on inflation, he said that it will have to answer it to the public.
