A seminar was organized at Guru Nanak Khalsa College on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day by the Anti-Corruption Foundation of India, an organization registered with the Government of India, working all over India for anti-corruption awareness.
The seminar was presided over by National President Narendra Arora while the principal of the college, Dr. Major Singh, was present as a keynote speaker. The stage was conducted by Dr. Krishna Arora.
Former DSP Subhash Sharma had a special discussion on the eradication of corruption. Many students of the college participated on this occasion. Dr. Major Singh, Dr. Krishna Arora, Dr. Gurinder Singh, Dr. Bir Singh and Dr. Devi Bhushan were honoured by the Anti-Corruption Foundation of India for outstanding work in the field of education and the best students from different fields were awarded Excellence Awards.
On this occasion, Narendra Arora said that awareness is essential for the eradication of corruption. He said that strict laws are needed to curb corruption. He said that everyone should work together for the eradication of corruption and for this the Central and State Governments are playing a key role. The vigilance department is doing a good job.
On this occasion, Dr. Major Singh said that corruption is a big problem for the whole world and it is necessary to study for its eradication on special days like International Anti-Corruption Day. He said that every person has to do his duty to stop corruption.
