Energy conservation measure can fetch up to Rs 2L reward: ADC

State-level awards for the year 2020-21 will be given by the government for reducing power consumption and promoting energy conservation. These will include industrial, commercial, government and non-government institutions. This information was given by Additional Deputy Commissioner and Chief Project Officer Yogesh Kumar.

He informed that in order to promote energy conservation, a large industrial and commercial institutions with consumers of more than one-megawatt load would be awarded certificates and shields by the Haryana government as prize money. Registered MSME Industrial institutions with connected load from 100 KW to 1 MW will get up to Rs 2 lakh as prize money. Similarly government buildings and offices with connecting load of 30 KW to 500 KW will be given prize money up to Rs 1 lakh. Apart from this, if any particular person has done any remarkable work of new research and development in the field of energy conservation, he will also be given a prize money of up to Rs 2 lakh.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner and Chief Project Officer informed that any person, institute or industrial unit who wants to participate in this program, can apply by filling up their nominations in the Room No. 16, Additional Deputy Commissioner's Office, Karnal, till December 23.
