Yogshastra Gita is India’s gift to entire humanity : President Murmu

Kurukshetra:The President of India Droupadi Murmu has said that Gita gives us code to live life to its fullest. In Shrimad Bhagvad Gita Lord Krishna takes us out of the conflicts of life and shows us the way to get rid of tension, dilemma and unhappiness. By including the teaching of Gita in our behavior, we can move forward in the direction of a stable, successful and dilemma-free life in the twenty-fifth century. She was speaking as the chief guest at the International Seminar organized on the subject of ‘World Peace and Harmony in the context of Shrimad Bhagwad Gita’ in the auditorium hall of Kurukshetra University on Tuesday.


President Droupadi Murmu said that Shrimad Bhagwadgita is an International book in the true sense. There have been many translations of Gita in many languages. This is the most famous and popular book which Bharat has given to the world. The number of commentaries that have been written on Gita outnumber commentaries on any other religious book. Just as Yoga is India's gift to the entire world community, similarly Yogashastra Gita is also the spiritual gift of Mother India to the entire humanity. Gita also preaches us to leave cowardice and adopt bravery. Brave soldiers, hardworking farmers and struggling daughters of Haryana have made Haryana and the whole country proud in their field of work by imbibing the teachings of Gita in their lives.


Earlier, President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Chief Minister's Health Survey Scheme, Haryana E-Ticketing Projects and Medical College in Sirsa built at a cost of Rs 950 crore online. She praised the efforts of the Government of Haryana in making Haryana the fastest moving and a progressive state of India.


On this occasion, Governor Bandaru Dattatraya released and presented a souvenir of the International Seminar and a copy of the special issue on Gita of General of Haryana Studies to President Droupadi Murmu.


In his address Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Chief Minister said that President Mrs. Droupadi Murmu, who was born in an ordinary family, has achieved extraordinary success and in her journey from a small village in Orissa to Rashtrapati Bhavan. Her exemplary journey shows that the poor can dream and fulfill their dreams in India which is a true democracy.


He further said that salvation is achieved by the water of the Ganges. The land and water of Varanasi have the power of salvation. The water, land and air of Kurukshetra can provide true salvation.


Regarding the Health Protection Scheme, the Chief Minister said that the objective of this scheme is to provide health check-up facilities on more than 25 standards at the initial level to the poor and deprived families. He said that by laying the foundation stone of the medical college in Sirsa district to be built at a cost of Rs 950 crore by the President, Haryana Government has taken forward the resolution of opening medical colleges in every district. Along with this, e-ticketing project was also been launched for public facilities. Chief Minister thanked Nepal which had joined International Gita Mahotsav as a partner country and Madhya Pradesh is partner state in the Mahotsav.


Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya said that we need to imbibe Gita in our lives. We can find the solution to the problems of the modern age in the Bhagavad Gita. The main purpose of the Gita is to convey the message of not deviating from the path of one's duty under all circumstances. The Srimad Bhagavad Gita, also respectfully called the Gitopanishad, is the essence of Indian religion, philosophy and spirituality.


Education Minister of Haryana, Kanwarpal said that the teachings written in Gita solve all our problems immediately and teach us the art of living life, as well as inspire us to lead a successful life.


Swami Gyananand Maharaj, the founder and pioneer of Gieo Gita, said that Gita conveys the message of universal brotherhood and love for all forms of life in the universe. Where power of science becomes silent, Gita removes tension and depression for mental peace and harmony.


Swami Govind Giri Maharaj said that Shrimad Bhagwad Gita is the essence of Mahabharata that it can play a major role in harmony and peace the world.
