Construct underpasses on national highways where necessary: Dushyant

Chandigarh: Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala directed the officers to construct under-passes on the National Highways passing through villages as per requirement to prevent accidents.

The Deputy Chief Minister was presiding over the meeting with officers of National Highways Authority of India and Public Works Department in Chandigarh. Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Sh. Anoop Dhanak was also present on this occasion.

Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the people of Sacha Kheda village near Narwana and Muklan, Chaudhariwas, Sarsod, Bichpadi and Banbhori villages of Hisar district have complained that they have to go to the other side of the National Highway passing through their village for all necessary work, which causes accidents and a lot of public money has been lost. The villages have urged the construction of an underpass.

The Deputy Chief Minister has directed the National Highways Authority of India and the officers of the Public Works Department to take action in this regard so that loss of life and property can be prevented.

The Deputy Chief Minister took the feedback of the under-construction bypass road from Talwandi Rana village to Mirzapur Chowk near Hisar's International Airport and directed the owners of the lands falling inside the bypass to pay their compensation amount as soon as possible, saying that the construction of this bypass will connect NH-52 and NH-9 directly. He said that after the completion of this bypass, it will be easier to complete the ongoing development works at the airport within the stipulated period.

Sh. Dushyant Chautala also discussed with the officers regarding the bypass of Uchana and Jind city. He also saw the proposed plans of all the above-mentioned cities and while giving his suggestions, said that wherever necessary, action should be taken regarding construction of railway bridges etc. so that people do not face any inconvenience while commuting.

On this occasion, he directed the officers that all the above works should be completed at the earliest.
