Dr. Nisha Bhargava, Principal, Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh won the Panjab University Senate Elections 2021 from the Principal's Constituency, the results of which were declared today. She served as a PU Senate member from 2016 to 2020 as well. Winning by a huge majority, the election of Dr. Bhargava drew an ecstatic response from one and all in the academic circles who hailed her election as a well deserved one. A NAAC Assessor, Dr. Bhargava is an academician par excellence who has vast experience in various academic and administrative capacities. Besides research publications in reputed journals, books and paper presentations in national and international conferences to her credit, Dr. Bhargava has helmed research projects on play based learning and workplace well being. An economist by profession and a poetess at heart, Dr. Bhargava is an energy economics expert who effortlessly weaves words into heart touching poetry and has published her anthology of poems in a book titled 'Safar Hai Zindagi'. Thanking the voters for reposing faith in her and crediting her near and dear ones for her success, Dr. Bhargava vowed to work ceaselessly for the betterment of standards of higher education in the region.
