Haryana Government is continuously taking meaningful steps towards good governance with the theme of Happy Haryana – Prosperous Haryana in view of Good Governance Week and under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Taking another new initiative under good governance by the Haryana Government, the Aas-Auto Appeal software has been started through which the delivery of the government services has been ensured under the right to service. Information about Right to Service Act is also being given effectively to the general public.

Giving information under the Good Governance Week, a spokesperson said that the Aas Portal launched by the Haryana Government is very beneficial for the common people. If the work of a person is not completed within the time limit prescribed under the Right to Service Act, then the application under the Auto Appeal software will go to the Appellate Authority. In case the work is not done even within the ambit of the Appellate Authority, the application will be forwarded to the senior officer. If the work is not settled even at both these levels, the application will automatically come to the Right to Service Commission. Keeping in mind the public interest, the government has taken this step to make the administrative working style accountable, transparent, fair and effective.

The spokesperson said that most of the services of government departments directly related to the general public have been notified under the purview of the Right to Service Act. Many of these services are being made available online through Saral Portal. The Aas-Auto Appeal software is an important step of the government towards empowering the rights of the common man.

The spokesperson said that it is the obligation of the concerned department and officer to give timely benefits of government services and schemes to the applicant under the purview of Right to Service Act. According to the Right to Service Act, all the departments working at the district and sub-divisional level are to mention time limit for delivery of service outside their buildings for public awareness.
