Dwarka Expressway will give new impetus to Haryana's progress - Deputy CM Chautala

Chandigarh: Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Dushyant Chautala said that the state will move faster on the path of progress with the expansion of big projects like Dwarka Expressway, Shamli-Ambala National Highway and Bhiwani-Hansi National Highway. He highlighted that these initiatives will catalyze infrastructure and industrial development in the state.


The Deputy CM, who also holds the portfolio of the Public Works Department, expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari for giving a big gift to Haryana.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the government is continuously strengthening the road network in the state and the people of Haryana as well as the travelers traveling in the state are getting its benefit.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled 114 development projects worth approximately Rs 1 lakh crore from Gurugram, bringing relief to commuters in Delhi and Gurugram, particularly with the inauguration of the 19 km-long Haryana segment of the Dwarka Expressway.

This project is expected to significantly aid industrial growth in areas like Gurugram, Manesar, Kharkhoda, and Sonipat. Additionally, the Deputy CM mentioned two national highways gifted to Haryana by the Central Government: the 121 km-long Shamli-Ambala National Highway and the 43 km-long Bhiwani-Hansi Road expansion project.

He highlighted that these developments will enhance connectivity with Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Rajasthan, fostering interstate travel and facilitating economic growth.


He reiterated the collaborative efforts of the Central and State Governments in promoting good roads, safe travel, and holistic industrial-economic advancement through the road network in Haryana.
