Chandigarh: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on Sunday addressed the Prantiya Acharya Conference of Vidya Bharti being held at Samalkha in Panipat, Haryana, through a virtual medium. In his keynote address as the Chief Guest, Shri Dattatraya emphasized the critical importance of value-based and inclusive education that is aligned with the evolving needs of industry and the challenges of the future.

Speaking to a distinguished gathering of educators, academic leaders, and scholars, Shri Dattatraya highlighted that education must go beyond rote learning and academic excellence. "It should nurture ethical values, critical thinking, and a spirit of innovation among students," he said. He further underscored the necessity of an education system that is inclusive, accessible, and adaptive to socio-economic diversity.

Referring to the vision and dream of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji to make India a developed nation by 2047, Shri Dattatraya said: “Today’s students must be prepared not only with academic knowledge but also with moral integrity, social responsibility, and future-ready skills to meet the dynamic demands of the global workforce.” He called upon educators to serve as role models and facilitators of holistic development, guiding students with compassion and wisdom.

Shri Dattatraya praised the Haryana Government led by Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini for putting extra attention on the education sector and earmarking adequate funds for school and higher education, and skill development. “The state government is enhancing school infrastructure, integrating digital learning tools, and providing scholarships to meritorious students. Efforts are being made to give a boost to vocational training programs and employment-oriented initiatives,” he said.

Governor Shri Dattatraya lauded the efforts of institutions like Vidya Bharti for fostering dialogue on educational reforms and promoting teacher excellence. He said that such platforms are essential for building a resilient and forward-looking academic ecosystem in the country. “I compliment Vidya Bharati for imparting quality and value-based education to the students, which is the need of the hour,” said Shri Dattatraya.

The Governor said that the Prantiya Acharya Conference brings together academic stakeholders from across the region to deliberate on best practices in education, pedagogical innovations, and policy alignment with national education goals. “Such deliberations will go a long way in implementing the new National Education Policy-2020 in letter and spirit,” he said.
