Chandigarh: Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Sh. Shyam Singh Rana directed officers of the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board to repair all its roads by June 15 so that people do not face problems in commuting during the monsoon season.
Sh. Rana was chairing a meeting of officers of the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board at his office here today.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department Sh. Raja Sekhar Vundru, Chief Administrator of the Board Sh. Mukesh Kumar Ahuja and other senior officers were present.
The Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister took information about the status of all the roads under the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board in the state. He was informed that a total of 4353 roads have been constructed by the Board in the state, out of which 3123 roads have been repaired and fixed, and the remaining roads will also be repaired soon.
Sh. Shyam Singh Rana said on April 1, 2025, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini had directed the officials to repair and fix all the roads of the state related to various departments by June 15, 2025. The Agriculture Minister directed the officials of the board to review the current condition of all the roads and repair the roads within the stipulated period.
He also directed the officials to prepare a list of the roads constructed by the Board in the state in the last 11 years and said just as the Central Government has placed before the public an account of the developmental works done under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, similarly, in Haryana also, the account of the roads constructed by the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board during the last 11 years will be placed before the people. The minister also reviewed the ongoing works in the grain markets under the board and directed to expedite all the works. He discussed the upcoming action of the proposed flower market, natural grain market in Gurugram and also directed to explore the possibilities of setting up a fish market there.
Sh. Shyam Singh Rana also discussed the demands of the commission agents of the market with the officials. Apart from this, he directed to immediately pay the outstanding subsidy of DSR (Direct Seeding Rice) related to stubble management.
