Una: Under the Government of India’s TB-free India campaign, the Northern Region Pipelines unit of Indian Oil took a significant step towards supporting tuberculosis patients by donating 120 Ni-kshay Mitra nutrition kits at the Regional Hospital in Una. Chief Medical Officer Dr Sanjeev Kumar Verma said the kits have been prepared in accordance with the standards prescribed under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme and contain protein- and energy-rich food items. He said adequate nutrition plays a crucial role in the treatment and recovery of TB patients and helps them continue their medication without interruption.

Dr Verma expressed gratitude to Indian Oil Corporation Limited for its initiative, stating that the Northern Region Pipelines unit has demonstrated strong commitment towards community health and national health missions. He said such efforts would further strengthen cooperation between public health institutions and corporate social responsibility initiatives, while also serving as an inspiration for greater public participation in achieving the goal of a TB-free India.

The nutrition kits were formally handed over to the Chief Medical Officer by Northern Region Pipelines Una station in-charge Amandeep Bhardwaj and operations manager Ankit Gupta. Medical Superintendent Dr Sanjay Mankotia and District TB Officer Dr Vishal Thakur were also present on the occasion.
