Una: In a significant and historic development for healthcare services, Una district is set to get a state-of-the-art 150-bed super speciality hospital, which is scheduled to become operational by March 2026. The project is expected to directly benefit lakhs of residents of Una and adjoining areas by bringing advanced medical care closer to home.
The upcoming hospital will offer high-end medical facilities in key specialties including cardiology, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, critical care, nephrology and dialysis. Equipped with advanced medical machinery, modern operation theatres, intensive care units and round-the-clock emergency services, the facility is poised to give Una a new identity in the healthcare sector.
At present, patients from Una and nearby regions are often compelled to travel to cities such as Chandigarh or Delhi for treatment of serious ailments. With the commissioning of this hospital, timely treatment will be available locally, significantly reducing the financial burden, travel stress and emotional strain on patients and their families.
According to the hospital management, the project will also generate new employment opportunities at the local level. Recruitment of doctors, nursing staff, technical professionals and other support staff is expected to begin soon, with detailed information to be shared separately.
