February 13, 2026 10:37 AM

Chandigarh :  CM Nayab Singh Saini Chairs First Meeting of Industry–Labour Friendly Council Haryana CM. Nayab Singh Saini stated that the state government’s primary focus will be on the principle of “Developed Industry, Developed Workers” to accelerate Haryana’s economic growth. Chairing the first meeting of the “Industry–Labour Friendly Council” in Chandigarh on Wednesday, the Chief Minister emphasized that strong coordination between industries and workers is the foundation of a robust economy.

The meeting was attended by Principal Principal Secretary. Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Sh. Sudhir Rajpal, Industries and Commerce Commissioner and Secretary Dr. Amit Agrawal, Labour Department Principal Secretary Sh. Rajiv Ranjan, Deputy Principal Secretary to CM. Yashpal, along with other senior officials and council members.

The Chief Minister said that no state can achieve economic progress unless industries function smoothly and workers remain prosperous and satisfied. With this vision, the “Industry–Labour Friendly Council” has been constituted, making Haryana the first state in the country to establish such a council.

He added that the government is working on the policy of providing “Ease of Doing Business” to industries and “Ease of Living” to workers. The council will review government announcements related to industries and labour, suggest measures for worker safety, resolve industrial disputes, and recommend upgrading skill development in ITIs and other technical institutions. Special emphasis will also be placed on enhancing worker productivity, which will contribute to an increase in GDP.

The CM informed that around two lakh micro and medium enterprises operating outside industrial areas were deprived of several benefits. To address this, a portal was launched on December 25, 2025, enabling such units to register and avail government schemes. Issues related to the transfer of plots from HUDA to HSIIDC have also been resolved. The government has approved concessional land for ESIC hospitals, is expediting the construction of affordable dormitories for workers in industrial areas, and plans to develop multi-level parking facilities in districts facing space constraints.

He further stated that the state government is committed to creating a more investment-friendly environment in Haryana, which will help achieve Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s vision of “Viksit Bharat–2047.”
