Kinnaur: A one-day workshop on GeM, CPP and Smart MSME Portals was successfully conducted at Club Silk Route Banquet Hall, Kinnaur, under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme of the Department of Industries, Government of Himachal Pradesh.
The workshop was organized with the objective of strengthening the capabilities of local entrepreneurs in effectively utilizing government e-procurement platforms. The session focused on enhancing awareness about the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), Central Public Procurement (CPP) Portal, and Smart MSME Portals, enabling entrepreneurs to expand their market access and improve product visibility in government procurement systems.
During the programme, entrepreneurs were sensitized about registration procedures, bidding processes, compliance requirements, and strategies to leverage digital procurement platforms for business growth. The initiative aimed at empowering MSMEs to participate more actively in public procurement and benefit from transparent and technology-driven systems.
Addressing the participants, Guru Lal Negi, General Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC) Kinnaur, encouraged entrepreneurs to register on GeM and other procurement portals to increase their outreach and tap into government purchasing opportunities. He emphasized the importance of digital platforms in enhancing competitiveness and scaling up local enterprises.
More than 68 entrepreneurs from the district participated in the workshop and actively engaged in interactive discussions, seeking clarifications on procedural aspects and exploring opportunities for business expansion through government channels.
The workshop concluded on a positive note, reaffirming the Department’s commitment to promoting MSME growth, digital inclusion, and improved ease of doing business in the State.
