Kurukshetra : Cricket enthusiasts in Kurukshetra witnessed an exciting beginning to a new sporting chapter as the Dream Tennis Cricket League (Season 1 – North Zone) was officially launched in a grand event at Veta Hotel, Umri. The event was graced by former Indian cricketer and renowned commentator Aakash Chopra, who attended as the Chief Guest.
The much-anticipated league is scheduled to take place from June 16 to June 21 at Samana Bahu in Kurukshetra. It will bring together talented players from Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, with organizers aiming to establish it as a premier tennis cricket tournament in the North Zone.
During the ceremony, the official poster and team jerseys of the league were unveiled. Aakash Chopra interacted with players and fans, sharing valuable insights from his cricketing journey and formally announcing the commencement of the league. His presence added significant prestige to the event while inspiring young and aspiring cricketers.
Highlighting the vision behind the initiative, the organizers stated that the league is designed to provide a strong platform for emerging players to showcase their talent and to ignite greater enthusiasm for the sport among youth. “Through this league, we aim to promote sporting culture in the region and offer cricket lovers the chance to witness thrilling matches,” they said.

The league is being organized by Somnath Gaba (Chairman), along with Ravi Kumar Gaba and Vinay Kamboj of Haripur, Yamunanagar. With strong leadership and an ambitious vision, the Dream Tennis Cricket League promises to become a significant platform for grassroots cricket talent in North India.
