New Delhi : The Antim Ardas for the eternal peace of the departed soul of Late Smt. Preet Mohini Kaur Ji, the mother of Harmeet Singh Kalka, President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, who passed away on March 21, was held today at Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib in the Lakhi Shah Vanjara Hall in a solemn affair.
On this occasion, numerous prominent personalities from political, religious, social, and administrative fields paid their heartfelt tributes to the departed soul with deep sorrow.
In his condolence message, read during the occasion the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressed deep sympathy with Kalka and the entire family. He stated that losing a mother is one of the greatest and most painful losses in life. He added that although Late Preet Mohini Kaur Ji is no longer physically present, the noble values imparted by her will continue to inspire the family forever.
He also prayed to Waheguru to grant strength to the family and well-wishers to bear this irreparable loss.
Among those present at the ceremony were Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Delhi Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (Amritsar) Harjinder Singh Dhami, and former Member of Parliament and President of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Prem Singh Chandumajra. Many leaders from religious and social organizations, office bearers and members of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, and a large number of devotees also attended and paid their respects.
In addition, Lok Sabha Member from Gurdaspur Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Rajya Sabha Member Satnam Singh, former Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Legislative Assembly Charanjit Singh Atwal, and Lok Sabha Member and President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Raja Warring earlier visited the residence of Harmeet Singh Kalka to express their condolences. Union Minister J. P. Nadda also conveyed his sympathies through a condolence message.
During the ceremony, the sangat remembered the simple, religious, and value-driven life of Late Preet Mohini Kaur Ji and described her high ideals as a source of inspiration for society.
