Kaithal- DC Aparajita visited a Government Secondary School located in Francewala and participated in joyful activity. During this time, she moved beyond the traditional administrative role and took on the role of a teacher and taught science to children in an interesting way. Also, when DC formed a school management committee of children in a class and discussed the development of the school, the children gave many constructive suggestions.
During the inspection, the DC directly reached the class and insisted on teaching the children experimentally. He explained the principle of density and volume to the students by putting various objects in a bucket filled with water. Through this simple experiment, children learned which objects float and which sink in water and what is the scientific reason behind it? DC inspired the children for creative activities along with studies. He gave suggestions to make learning interesting through activities like story creation and clay modeling.
During the activity, the DC formed a school management committee of students and sought suggestions from them for improving the school. The children expressed their views openly and expressed their needs. In which suggestions were included for CCTV cameras in the school, repair of benches and improvement in slow speed of fans and filling the vacant post of Hindi teacher.
DC Aparajita said that children's suggestions were the most honest and their participation was necessary in the development of the school. They can express their needs well. There is a need to connect with them and talk to them. She instructed the District Education Officer on the spot that whatever work is more important, it should be done on priority basis. Start the process to complete the remaining works also.
After this the DC held a meeting with the officials of the Education Department and gave necessary directions. While this visit to DC boosted the children's enthusiasm for learning, it also gave a message to the officials that active participation at the grassroots level is necessary to improve education.
On this occasion, District Education Officer Subhash Kumar, DIPRO Naseeb Saini, Deputy District Education Officer Pramod Rana, AIPRO Amit Kaushik, District Science Expert Chhatrapal, Superintendent Suresh Sharma and other officers were present.
