Bilaspur:  All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bilaspur has taken a significant stride in comprehensive healthcare with the launch of the new Out Patient Department (OPD) services under the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PMR), starting today. This vital addition is set to benefit patients suffering from disability, chronic pain, and post-illness debility, empowering them to regain independence and a dignified life.

The PMR department specializes in restoring physical function in individuals recovering from paralysis, spinal cord injuries, joint disorders, post-accident trauma, developmental delays, and chronic musculoskeletal or neurological conditions. With a strong focus on patient-centred care, the department adopts a multidisciplinary approach integrating physiotherapy, occupational therapy, pain management, speech therapy, and assistive technology to enhance recovery and quality of life.

The OPD will function every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Room No. B736, 4th Floor, B-Block. A dedicated team of doctors, therapists, and technical experts will provide tailored treatment plans and disability management solutions to patients of all ages, including children.

This initiative reflects AIIMS Bilaspur’s ongoing commitment to holistic rehabilitation and inclusive care, enabling physically challenged individuals to lead active and self-reliant lives. The public is encouraged to make full use of the newly inaugurated services and consult with the expert team for specialized rehabilitation care.
