NALAGARH: More then 40 passengers got injured after a Himachal Path Parivahan Nigam (HRTC) went out of control and overturned on the Nalagarh-Swarghat road in Solan, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
There was a chaos and a shockwave gripped the whole area. The rescue and relief teams were immediately rushed to the spot.
Accident Reasons
According to some eyewitnesses the bus suddenly lost balance at the turn and suddenly overturned. There were screams all around. The real cause of the accident is not yet clear.
Investigation Begins
Many people say that this accident happened due to the negligence of the driver. Some people say that it happened due to technical fault. At present, the police has started investigating the matter and is trying to find out the reason behind the accident.
Relief And Rescue Work
After the accident, the people nearby immediately started relief work and pulled out the injured. As soon as the information was received, police and administration teams also reached the spot and all the injured were taken to the civil hospital in Nalagarh, where their treatment is going on.
Injured Stable
According to the hospital administration, the condition of most of the injured is stable, although some passengers have suffered serious injuries. The administration has assured to provide all possible help to the injured.
Earlier flash floods killed 7
With the recovery of one more body from the Manooni Khad, the death toll in flash floods following at Khaniyara has risen to seven, police said here today.
Kangra District Additional SP, Aditi Singh, said that the body of one more person was recovered from the Manooni Khad and another person was left missing.
Search operation of NDRF and other agencies would continue tomorrow also, She added. She said that the bodies of two people were recovered on Wednesday and subsequently, three more bodies were recovered the next day.
She further said that one body each was recovered yesterday and today, thus the death toll has touched seven. Singh said that among the dead, two people were from Uttar Pradesh, one each from Chamba and Nurpur and the process of identification of three was still in progress.
The Kangra District Additional Superintendent Police said that bad weather, rains and low visibility in the area was being faced by the search teams which proved as a hurdle in the recovery of the bodies.
Now, only one body remains to be searched out and search operation will continue tomorrow too, she added.
