Chandigarh : Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on National Doctor’s Day on Tuesday extended his heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the medical fraternity, lauding their relentless service, compassion, and dedication in building a healthier and stronger India.

In his message, Governor Shri Dattatraya said that doctors are the embodiment of hope, healing, and humanity. “Their selfless service has reinforced our belief in the nobility of their profession. On this special day, we salute every doctor who stands as a sentinel of health and well-being across our cities, towns, and villages,” he said.

Governor Shri Dattatraya stressed that the contribution of doctors goes far beyond the confines of clinics and hospitals. He noted that physicians play a pivotal role in shaping public health, spreading awareness, advancing medical science, and strengthening the nation’s healthcare infrastructure.

The Governor also appreciated the tireless efforts of doctors serving in government hospitals, rural health centres, private institutions, and charitable missions across Haryana. He expressed confidence that the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini will continue to witness progress in healthcare with the support of its committed medical professionals.

He called upon the youth to draw inspiration from the life of Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy, prominent physician, freedom fighter, and former Chief Minister of West Bengal, whose birth anniversary is celebrated as National Doctor’s Day. “Let us take this day as an opportunity to reaffirm our collective resolve to support the medical community, invest in health systems, and ensure access to quality healthcare for all,” he added.
