Kurukshetral: The Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, commended the Media Chaupal established at the Haryana Pavilion on the sacred banks of Brahmsarovar, describing it as an exemplary initiative for conserving and disseminating Haryanvi heritage.
During his visit, Chief Minister Saini praised the unique format and objectives of the Media Chaupal, noting its effective use of contemporary communication tools to strengthen cultural roots. He emphasized the importance of leveraging modern media to keep younger generations connected to their traditions and commended Kurukshetra University for facilitating such a platform that links youth with the region’s rich legacy.
Vice Chancellor, KUK, Prof Som Nath Sachdeva said, “Kurukshetra University is committed to fostering platforms that not only preserve our cultural heritage but also empower students to engage with it creatively and meaningfully,”
Director, IMC&MT, Prof. Maha Singh Poonia highlighted that the Media Chaupal was organized by the Institute of Mass Communication and Media Technology (IMC&MT) under the guidance of Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Som Nath Sachdeva. Prof Poonia added that the forum provided students with an invaluable opportunity to hone their artistic skills, present their work to the public, and gain practical experience through workshops and live showcases.
Deputy Director, Public Relations, Dr. Jimmy Sharma informed that during the Chief Minister’s visit to Brahmsarovar on Monday, the Media Chaupal team had the opportunity to interact with him. This edition of the Media Chaupal is a continuation of its earlier success during the KU Ratnawali festival. The event, which attracted dignitaries and visitors alike, was attended by the State Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma, Kurukshetra Zila Parishad Vice-Chairman Dharmpal Chaudhary, and the Chief Minister’s Media Coordinator Tushar Saini.
