Shimla; The Department of Industries has identified 12 products under the Government of India’s flagship programme One District One Product (ODOP), reflecting the unique identity of the 12 districts of Himachal Pradesh. The Department has been consistently working towards the promotion of these products, with a focused approach on gap analysis, market challenges, branding, and value-chain development.
In continuation of these efforts, the Reverse Buyer–Seller Meet (RBSM) on One District One Product (ODOP) was an integral component of HIM MSME Fest 2026, held from 3rd to 5th January 2026 at Shimla. During this meet Letters of Intent (LoI) amounting to ₹5.29 crore were initially signed for 10 ODOP products.
To provide an effective marketing platform and facilitate linkages with reputed e-commerce companies, the Government of India, through Invest India, was associated with the event to bring empanelled vendors onboard.
Additionally, the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) and National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) actively participated in the event and interacted with sellers of ODOP products. The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) acted as the networking partner for the Reverse Buyer–Seller Meet.
The event was chaired by the Hon’ble Industries Minister, in the presence of the Sh. R. D Nazeem, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries), Dr. Yunus Commissioner of Industries, Sh. Tilak Raj Sharma, Additional Director of Industries, and Sh. Ramesh Verma Joint Director of Industries.
A total of 12 ODOP stalls showcasing district-specific products were the main attraction of the event.

Following the presentation of investment opportunities by the Department of Industries and detailed interactions between buyers and sellers, Letters of Intent (LoI) amounting to ₹5.29 crore were initially signed for 10 ODOP products. This outcome reflects the positive results and overall success of the Reverse Buyer–Seller Meet and is expected to serve as a source of inspiration for other buyers and sellers.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister Sh. Thakur Sukhvinder Singh SuKkhu emphasized Department of Industries should ensure regular follow-up with buyers and sellers so that the Letters of Intent are effectively translated into actual business transactions.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister Sh. Harshvardhan Chauhan emphasized that the remaining two ODOP products should be actively pitched in upcoming ODOP programmes to promote balanced regional development through the creation of product-centric industrial hubs.
Sh. R.D. Nazeem, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) stated that the Reverse Buyer–Seller Meet under ODOP was a significant initiative aimed at building strong brands for district-specific products and would further strengthen their value chains. Dr. Yunus, Commissioner of Industries stated that this initiative marks a promising beginning for the promotion of local products through RBSM, and reaffirmed that the Department is fully committed to accelerating MSME growth through various initiatives, including ODOP-based programmes.
