New Delhi : Punjabi Helpline Delhi (Regd.) today felicitated Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Harmeet Singh Kalka and general secretary Jagdeep Singh Kahlon in recognition of their exceptional vision and dedicated efforts towards the promotion, preservation, and development of the punjabi language.
On the occasion, Harmeet Singh Kalka appreciated punjabi helpline delhi for its commendable initiatives aimed at promoting Punjabi in the national capital, encouraging students to read and write the language, and integrating Punjabi into everyday life.
He stated that the DSGMC has also been working consistently to promote Indian languages in accordance with the CBSE's national education policy. As part of this commitment, the DSGMC has taken the historic decision to introduce Punjabi across all branches of Guru Harkrishan Public Schools through the R2 campaign. He said this initiative is not only a significant step towards preserving the mother tongue but also an important effort to connect the younger generation with its language, culture, and heritage.
Speaking on the occasion, DSGMC general secretary Jagdeep Singh Kahlon said that the honour was not merely a personal recognition but a tribute to the collective efforts of the entire Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, which has been working tirelessly to strengthen the position of the Punjabi language in the field of education and to ensure its continued growth.
