Chandigarh: Chandigarh’s promising international Taekwondo player Pragati Mahajan has brought immense pride to her parents, Chandigarh and for the nation by delivering an outstanding performance at the 9th Heroes Taekwondo International Championship-2026, held in Pattaya, Thailand, where she clinched Silver and Bronze medals.
In recognition of Pragati Mahajan’s remarkable achievement at the international level, the Women & Child Welfare Society, Chandigarh, organised a special felicitation ceremony in her honour here today. On the occasion, office-bearers of the Society congratulated Pragati on her outstanding accomplishment and extended their best wishes for a bright and successful future.
Society President Pooja Bakshi said that Pragati Mahajan, through her hard work, perseverance, discipline and unwavering dedication to the sport, had demonstrated that when young talent receives the right guidance, encouragement and opportunities, it can bring glory to the country on the international stage. She said Pragati’s achievement would serve as a source of inspiration for many other children and young athletes.
