Rayat Bahra University Organises International Talk on Indo–Australian Education System

Mohali: In a step towards strengthening global academic collaboration and promoting cross-cultural learning opportunities, Rayat Bahra University organised an International Talk on the Indo–Australian Education System. The event was held under the dynamic leadership of Group Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar and Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar.

 

The keynote address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Gurcharan Singh, International Education Development Advisor and Adjunct Faculty at Queensland, Australia.

 

The event began with an interactive session with the Deans, providing a platform for academic leaders to exchange insights on global education trends and explore collaborative opportunities. This was followed by a detailed program at the USMS Seminar Hall, where faculty members and students participated with great enthusiasm.

 

Prof. (Dr.) Simerjit Kaur, Dean, Student Welfare, organised the event and extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests — Prof. (Dr.) Gurcharan Singh, Guest of Honour, and Rajan Kumar, Director, International Affairs.

 

In his address, Dr. Gurcharan Singh enlightened the audience about the structure and strengths of the Australian education system, with a special emphasis on pathway programs, student mobility, and internship opportunities that foster international exposure and skill development. His insights served as valuable guidance for students aspiring to pursue higher education abroad.

 

The session also featured a group discussion and interactive segment, during which students actively engaged with the expert, posing insightful questions and sharing their perspectives on global education and career readiness.

 

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Rajan Kumar, Director, International Affairs, who expressed gratitude to the esteemed speaker, university leadership, faculty, and students for their enthusiastic participation and contribution to the success of the program.
