Shimla; The Annual General Meet-cum-Workshop of the Himachal Pradesh Finance & Accounts Services Officers’ Association (HPFASOA) was organised on December 17, 2025, at Hotel Holiday Home, Shimla. The event was marked by deliberations on service-related matters and a special felicitation ceremony to honour 15 retired officers of the HPFAS cadre who superannuated from senior positions during the past two years, in recognition of their distinguished service to various departments of the State Government.
Shri Devesh Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary (Finance) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh, presided over the function as the Chief Guest, while Shri Vijay Wardhan, IAS, Special Secretary (Finance)-cum-Director, Treasuries, Accounts & Lotteries, attended as the Guest of Honour.
Addressing the gathering, the Principal Secretary (Finance) appreciated the commendable contribution of HPFAS officers serving in different departments, boards, corporations and autonomous bodies, and lauded their role in strengthening the state’s financial administration.
The President of the Association, Dr Amar Dutt Bhardwaj, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Association and the entire cadre for the continuous guidance, support and encouragement extended by the Finance Department leadership. Shri Vinod Kumar Gautam, General Secretary of the Association, also thanked the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour for their sustained support to HPFAS officers posted across various government entities.
On the occasion, the Chief Guest released the Civil List of HPFAS Officers. Shri Vijay Wardhan felicitated the retired officers along with their family members and also welcomed the newly inducted Section Officers into the cadre. The meeting also reviewed the functioning and challenges of HPFAS officers serving in departments, boards and corporations.
