IIIT Una, December 18, 2025: The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Una organized a career awareness and guidance session at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Saloh, with a special focus on emerging career opportunities in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from 90 students of classes IX to XII, who actively engaged in discussions and interactions.
The primary objective of the program was to sensitize school students to the growing significance of Artificial Intelligence and to guide them in making informed academic and career choices in a technology-driven world. The session featured an interactive talk titled “Choosing the Right Career in the Era of Artificial Intelligence,” during which students were introduced to the fundamentals of AI, its real-world applications, and diverse career pathways available in this rapidly evolving domain.
During the interaction, students raised several queries related to stress management, maintaining focus, handling academic pressure, and goal setting while preparing for competitive examinations and future careers. The resource person, Dr. Nishtha Hooda, from School of Computing at IIIT Una addressed these concerns by emphasizing the importance of time management, self-discipline, continuous learning, and mental well-being. Practical approaches such as yoga, meditation, mindfulness, regular physical activity, and balanced routines were highlighted as effective tools for managing stress and enhancing concentration.
The session also underscored the need for developing critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and adaptability—key competencies required for success in Artificial Intelligence and allied fields. Students were encouraged to identify their interests and strengths early and align them with suitable career paths.
The initiative was conducted under the ambit of Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan, a flagship program of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, aimed at fostering holistic development and awareness among students through the active involvement of higher educational institutions.
Students participated actively throughout the session and expressed keen interest in understanding AI-related career options and strategies for staying focused and motivated. The program concluded on a positive and inspiring note, reaffirming IIIT Una’s commitment to nurturing young minds by promoting career awareness, mental well-being, and informed decision-making as essential components of holistic education and nation-building.
