SHIMLA: BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal strongly attacked the Congress government while addressing a press conference in Nahan. Present on the occasion were State President of BJP Mahila Morcha and former Chairperson of the State Women Commission Ms. D.G. Thakur, District BJP President Dheeraj, popular Nahan MLA Ms. Reena, District Mahila Morcha President Ms. Shivani Verma, and BJP General Secretary Upendra.
Dr. Bindal said that the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh is setting new records of lies on a daily basis. These falsehoods are not limited to the state but are being deliberately propagated across the country, including in Delhi and at Congress rallies. He said that in Mandi, a large gathering was organized at government expense where the Chief Minister claimed that 7 out of 10 guarantees had been fulfilled, including the promise of providing ₹1500 per month to women.
Questioning this claim, Dr. Bindal asked that if the guarantee has truly been fulfilled, why women in Sirmaur district have not received this amount till date. He stated that 28 lakh women in the state were supposed to receive ₹1500 per month from the very first cabinet meeting, but the reality is that not a single rupee has been credited to their accounts so far. This, he said, clearly exposes the huge gap between the Congress government’s words and actions.
Dr. Bindal further said that Congress leaders have repeated these lies at national-level rallies in Delhi, falsely claiming that seven guarantees have been completed in Himachal Pradesh and that the milk procurement guarantee for farmers has also been implemented. He asserted that even after three years, the Congress government has not purchased even a single litre of milk at ₹100 per litre, as promised. He said that the walls of Himachal still echo these hollow slogans, exposing the government’s failure.
Terming the entire exercise as an attempt to mislead and deceive the public, Dr. Bindal said that the people of Himachal Pradesh have now clearly understood the reality. He added that the Congress government has become directionless, leaderless and visionless.
Dr. Bindal also accused the Congress party of standing with illegal infiltrators who are exploiting the country’s resources and rights. He said that Congress’s opposition to the Special SIR clearly shows that the party is prioritizing appeasement politics over national interest.
Concluding his address, Dr. Rajeev Bindal said that the Bharatiya Janata Party will continue to expose the lies and failures of the Congress government and that the people of Himachal Pradesh will give a befitting democratic reply to this betrayal at the appropriate time.
