Shimla:The Directorate of Industries, Government of Himachal Pradesh, is set to make HIM MSME Fest 2026 a dynamic convergence of industry, entrepreneurship and consumer engagement. For the first time, the festival will introduce a dedicated Factory Outlet Zone, envisioned as a major attraction for shoppers and a growth platform for MSMEs across the state.
Dr. Yunus (IAS), Director, Industries, informed that the Factory Outlet Zone will host around 50 stalls from established and reputed factory outlets, showcasing products from well-known and trusted brands. He подчеркed that the initiative is entirely consumer-centric, aimed at offering quality products at competitive prices while strengthening transparency and trust between producers and buyers.
The Factory Outlet Zone will bring a diverse range of products under one roof. Visitors can explore food products and ready-to-eat items, handlooms, textiles and traditional attire, household appliances, leather goods, sports shoes, bakery and packaged foods, along with local and traditional Himachali products. These offerings will reflect the state’s rich cultural heritage, artisanal excellence and the quality standards upheld by MSMEs.
By promoting a factory outlet model, the zone will enable direct interaction between manufacturers and consumers, ensuring affordability without compromising on quality. This approach is expected to enhance the shopping experience for consumers while opening new market opportunities for MSME-based brands.
Small and medium enterprises will gain significantly through direct market linkage, enhanced brand visibility, valuable customer feedback and expanded sales avenues.
