Yamunanagar--Under the “Drug Free State” resolution of Haryana Government, Ambala Unit of Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB) arrested two drug smugglers in connection with 432 illegal Tramadol capsules (intermediate quantity) cases. On the guidelines of Bureau Chief and Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Sanjay Kumar, IPS, continuous action is being taken against drug smugglers in the entire state. He clarified that "Eliminating the roots of drug addiction is our top priority."
Giving detailed information in this regard, Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau In charge Unit Ambala Inspector Mahroof Ali said that the unit's Assistant Sub-Inspector Vijay Kumar along with the team was present near ITI Chowk Yamunanagar in connection with the narcotics and the informer Khas met the ASI and gave secret information that Amit alias Sonu alias Katti, son of Mangatram, resident of Amarpuri Colony, Sisauli Road, who was doing illegal business of selling intoxicating capsules and today he was coming on his motorcycle with intoxicating capsules from his house towards ITI Yamuna Nagar near Parshuram Chowk to sell intoxicating capsules.
The accused was arrested along with the intoxicating capsules by setting up a blockade near Parshuram Chowk. When searched in the presence of a Gazetted Officer, 432 illegal Tramadol capsules were recovered from the accused. The arrested accused has been identified as Amit alias Sonu alias Kitty Vashi, Amarpur Colony, District Yamunanagar. Taking immediate action on spotting the accused, the team also arrested the accused's associate drug smuggler Sukhwinder Singh alias Pinka, son of Raghuveer Singh, Bank Colony, Rajiv Garden police station, Gandhinagar district, Yamunanagar. The police are interrogating the accused further and trying to reach their drug trafficking network and other criminals associated with it.
