Mohali: Under the Admission Drive–2026, Teacher–Parent Interaction Programs were organized in government schools of the Mohali constituency as part of the Punjab Education Revolution. These programs were held in accordance with the vision and directions of Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab In-charge Shri Manish Sisodia, and Chief Minister of Punjab Shri Bhagwant Singh Mann, and under the guidance of Mohali MLA Shri Kulwant Singh.
Recently, such programs were successfully conducted at the School of Eminence, Phase-11 (Mohali), Government Senior Secondary School, Village Bakarpur, and Government High School, Village Kumbhra. The programs were organized under the leadership of Constituency Coordinator Advocate Gagandeep Kaur, in whose presence a large number of parents participated with enthusiasm. The objective was to ensure the effective implementation of Admission Drive–2026 and to motivate students and their parents to opt for government schools.
Advocate Gagandeep Kaur stated that under the Punjab Education Revolution, the Punjab Government has undertaken unprecedented and exemplary initiatives in the field of education. She highlighted that the Government of India has ranked Punjab as the number one state in the education sector, surpassing Kerala in the same survey. Reflecting the impact of these reforms, as many as 79,263 students have shifted from private schools to government schools across Punjab.
She further informed that since 2022, a total of 10,900 new classrooms have been constructed and renovated, bringing historic improvements to the basic infrastructure of government schools. These transformative steps have significantly enhanced the learning environment and overall quality of education.
Advocate Gagandeep Kaur added that under the constant guidance of MLA Kulwant Singh, people of the constituency are being continuously encouraged to enroll their children in government schools. Regular corner meetings are also being organized to raise awareness.
She emphasized that MLA Kulwant Singh personally reviews progress from time to time and provides strategic direction to further strengthen public participation in the education reforms. On this occasion, Councillor Ravinder Singh Kumbhra, Block President Taranjeet Singh, Gajjan Singh, Sukhwinder Singh Barnala, Upinderpreet Kaur, Rupinder Kaur, Karnail Singh, Jugwinder Kaur, along with a large number of other respected local residents, were also present.
