Karnal: Karnal Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Devender Sharma on Monday inspected the De-addiction Centre at the District Civil Hospital to review the healthcare and rehabilitation services being provided to patients.
Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Munesh Goyal and Dr Pooja Bhatia accompanied the SDM during the inspection. Sharma reviewed the centre's overall functioning, including treatment and patient care services, cleanliness, basic amenities, maintenance of records and the availability of essential medicines.
Interacting with doctors and staff, he said de-addiction centres play a vital role in helping individuals overcome substance abuse and reintegrate into society. He directed the officials to ensure timely and quality treatment, effective counselling and comprehensive rehabilitation services so that patients can lead healthy and dignified lives.
