KAITHAL: A one-day awareness programme on branding, packaging, marketing, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) was organised on Wednesday for beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Scheme at the Government ITI, Jind Road, Kaithal. The event was conducted by the MSME-Development and Facilitation Office (DFO), Karnal, under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India. More than 100 artisans and beneficiaries participated, gaining insights into modern marketing techniques, digital platforms, and the use of AI. Mukesh Verma, Assistant Director at MSME-DFO Karnal, inaugurated the program with a welcome address. While providing information about the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Scheme, Udyam registration, and various other central government schemes, he encouraged beneficiaries to integrate modern technology and digital mediums with their traditional skills to access new markets.
Satish Machhal, Principal of Government ITI Kaithal, urged participants to continuously improve the quality of their products and maximize the benefits of government schemes. Lead District Manager (LDM) Suman Kumar provided information on financial literacy, banking facilities, and loan provisions available to PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries. Gauri Kapoor, Director of Digital Dronacharya, Sonipat, spoke in detail about the importance of branding, online sales, and e-commerce. She shared practical methods for participants to reach wider markets using digital channels and e-commerce platforms. Meanwhile, Ashish Nagar highlighted the significance of product design, attractive packaging, and effective labeling.
Rakhi Rawal, a Young Professional at MSME-DFO Karnal, explained new opportunities for product branding and marketing through Artificial Intelligence (AI). During the event, teams from BharatPe and India Post Payments Bank generated QR codes for digital payments for the beneficiaries, enabling them to accept secure and easy digital payments from customers. Harpal Singh, Assistant Director at MSME-DFO, Karnal, provided detailed information on product pricing, entrepreneurship development, current market demand, and effective marketing and sales strategies.
