Educational Institutions to Play Key Role in “Jal Tarang Josh Mahotsav-2025”

BILASPUR– A coordination meeting was organized at Government Senior Secondary School, Chhatra, under the aegis of the Indian Red Cross Society, District Branch Bilaspur, to mobilize active participation of educational and technical institutions in the forthcoming “Jal Tarang Josh Mahotsav-2025.” The grand event, scheduled from November 21 to 23 at the picturesque Govind Sagar Lake, aims to promote the spirit of humanity, health, and community service.

 

The meeting was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner and Vice President of the Red Cross Society, Omkant Thakur, who urged all educational institutions to take a leading role in spreading the message of compassion, voluntary service, and social responsibility. He appealed to schools and colleges to intensify initiatives related to health awareness, voluntary blood donation, support for senior citizens and differently-abled persons, and campaigns against drug abuse. Emphasizing the importance of youth participation, he encouraged institutions to expedite registration of Junior and Youth Red Cross units to strengthen humanitarian outreach.

 

Deputy Director of Higher Education, Renu Kaushal, Secretary of the Red Cross Society, District Branch Bilaspur, Amit Kumar, and District Coordinator of the Junior and Youth Red Cross Unit, Lekhram Kaushik, also addressed the gathering, motivating institutions to integrate Red Cross activities with educational programs and social welfare initiatives.

 

The session included detailed discussions on organizing health check-up camps, blood donation drives, service activities for the elderly and differently-abled, a pep run, and various public awareness campaigns during the Mahotsav.

 

More than 85 representatives from government and private schools, industrial training institutes, colleges, and nursing institutions across Bilaspur district enthusiastically participated in the meeting. Principal Shyam Lal extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and participants, setting a tone of unity and collective commitment towards making Jal Tarang Josh Mahotsav-2025 a vibrant celebration of service and social harmony.
