BANIKHET (CHAMBA); Yog Manav Vikas Trust (YMVT) Banikhet in Chamba district is set to celebrate its Silver Jubilee at the Antarnirman Complex, marking 25 years since its establishment. Announcing this at a media briefing, Chairperson Kiran Dodeja and Principal Coordinator S. K. Dodeja said that the Trust is observing the current year as its Silver Jubilee Celebration Year.
They informed that, over the past two and a half decades, the Trusthas provided vocational training to nearly 3,000 girls from the mountainous region, empowering them with livelihood skills. Recently, the Trust organized a grand felicitation ceremony, presided over by NHPC Executive Director Om Prakash, along with Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Dalhousie. During the event, 24 beauty care kits and 32 sewing machines were distributed to trainees who successfully
qualified in the examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) at the Trust premises.
The Trust has also announced plans to undertake intensive spiritual and medical outreach activities during the Silver Jubilee year, aimed at improving the well-being of people living in this remote corner of Himachal Pradesh.
The organisers further stated that an eminent spiritual personality is expected to be invited for the Silver Jubilee Mega Celebration scheduled for next year. They added that comprehensive preparations are underway to make the event a grand success.
