DHARAMSHALA : The sixth day of the Assembly session in Tapovan, Dharamshala, was also marked by uproar. Congress MLAs protested outside the House against the Central government, while the BJP staged a walkout inside, leveling serious allegations against the government. The political sparring between the two parties continued over OPS, RERA, and labor laws.

During the lunch break on Wednesday, during the winter session of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, Congress MLAs and ministers staged a strong protest outside the House against the Central government. The MLAs remained adamant on their demands, including the return of funds withheld from the Central government for OPS, the repeal of labor laws, and relief for employees.

Congress MLAs allege that the Central government is not releasing NPS funds, causing the state to face financial pressure. The BJP is only trying to mislead the public. Employees' hard-earned money is stuck at the Central government, and the state has repeatedly requested its return. Our government reinstated OPS, but the BJP talks about changing it.

This clearly demonstrates the BJP's anti-employee policy. On the other hand, the BJP, led by Leader of the Opposition Jairam Thakur, staged a walkout from the House. The BJP alleged that the Chief Minister was not listening to the opposition and was constantly trying to suppress them. The BJP also accused the government of avoiding discussion on important issues like RERA and failing to respond appropriately.

The Chief Minister repeatedly suppresses the opposition's voice. We wanted a detailed discussion on RERA, but the government is avoiding debate. BJP MLAs are raising public issues, but the government is unwilling to listen. Therefore, we had to stage a walkout so that the public knows the truth.
