Students came to watch the proceedings of the Legislative Assembly

Dharamshala-Dec 3- About 500 students of Government Senior Secondary School Mahnuta, Raipur, Rait, Dardh, Jwalamukhi, Barbata, Modern Public School Dharamshala, Himalayan Public School Chuwadi and Government High School Baluhi Khas visited the Legislative Assembly Secretariat on Wednesday and met HP Legislative Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathani and watched the proceedings of the House.

 

During the meeting, the students asked the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly many questions related to the parliamentary system, the proceedings of the Legislative Assembly, the role of the Presiding Officer in the House and the conduct of the session.

 


The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly gave full information about this to all the students and also informed them about the proceedings taking place in the House on Wednesday. While interacting with the students on this occasion, Mr Pathania said that MLAs were elected directly by the people through their votes and democratic system existed in our country.

 

Mr Pathania said that according to the rules, it runs according to the constitutional system through democratic system. Pathania said that the job of making laws rested with the Lok Sabha and the Legislative Assembly, which has been provisioned in the Constitution. Mr Pathania said that Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, after deeply studying the constitutions of all the countries of the world, created the Indian Constitution under which today 140 crore Indians are living in a spirit of unity, mutual harmony and love and are working day and night for the happiness, progress and prosperity of this nation.

 


Mr Pathania said that all of them were now the guardians of democracy and it was now their responsibility to strengthen the parliamentary system of this country. He said that all of them can contribute to nation building in different roles, be it as an administrative officer or as a public representative. You all are the future of this state and the country and you all should remember that we have got independence because of the sacrifices of lakhs of freedom fighters where we have our own elected government and also our own constitution, says he.

 

He said that the right to choose the government lies directly with the people and after a certain period, if the people wish, they can change the government with their vote.

 

He invited all the students to watch the proceedings of the House and extended his best wishes. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Whip of HP Government Kewal Singh Pathani and MLA Sanjay Ratna were also especially present.
